The aims of the warehouse are:

• To reduce amount of furniture taken to land fill sites through recycling
• To provide supported employment to young people in need
• To provide work experience and work-based training to young people
• To enable individuals and families who are struggling financially with the means to furnish their home
• To generate income to support the activities of the main West Kent YMCA charity through recycling:

Antiques, Beds, House Clearance, Bunk Beds, Pianos, 3 Piece suites, 2nd Hand Furniture, Collection, Restored Furniture, Delivery.

It has been operational for nearly ten years and has proven to be an economic and viable community service in the recycling and retail of restored and 2nd hand furniture whilst at the same time providing a venue for the employment and training of disengaged young people. It does not exist to make a profit: any surplus is covenanted to the charity to further the work amongst under-supported young people.
