What young people say about staying at a YMCA speaks for itself. Over 75 YMCAs in England offer somewhere to stay, ranging from hostels to move on flats.

YMCA housing offers so much more than somewhere to stay - it's a place to learn the skills and gain the confidence to move from dependence to independence in a sustainable way. That could mean dealing with a young persons homelessness, addressing the issues that caused the homelessness - help with addictions, debt advice, counselling, family mediation - and then building independent living skills.

Living at a YMCA is also about living in a community - a place where people can feel safe and valued, a place where friendships can develop and trust can be built. It's a place where, like everything in the YMCA, people have the chance to grow in body, mind and spirit.
