Ryder House - supported housing for young people aged 16+

Safe, welcoming and supportive housing for young people aged 16+

Image Description

Ryder House provides safe, welcoming and supportive housing for 37 young men and women aged 16+; in furnished flats in central Tunbridge Wells, who would otherwise be homeless.

Our dedicated Housing Support Workers help every resident to address their individual issues or problems, develop vital personal and life skills; look for training, work and volunteer opportunities; and gain the confidence and skills to live independently and take their place as a valued member in the wider community.

For residents, Ryder House is more than a home.  They are also actively engaged in decision making, running residents’ meetings and youth inclusion activities; raising funds for special projects and raising awareness of the needs of other young people in Kent. All West Kent YMCA's young people have the opportunity to engage in projects that encourage them to gain personal skills, team work experience and personal development on the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme - which we are licensed to deliver.

For more information about Ryder House, contact our Housing Support team on 01892 518505 or email housing@westkentymca.org.uk.

There they can make an appointment with a Housing Options Adviser, who can make referrals on their behalf.
